Adam O. Davis and Micah Dean Hicks win 2025 Raz-Shumaker Prairie Schooner Book Prizes

The winners of the 2025 Raz-Shumaker Prairie Schooner Book Prize are Adam O. Davis in Poetry for “Pyrrhic Symphony,” and Micah Dean Hicks for “Vulture Gold.” The two manuscripts were chosen by Glenna Lushei Editor-in-Chief Timothy Schaffert along with guest judges Rowan Ricardo Phillips and Hilda Raz (poetry) and DeMisty Bellinger and Eric Wat (fiction). Each winner will receive a $3,000 award and publication by the University of Nebraska Press.
